Assam | Police Constable among two apprehended for possession of 'Ganja'

Tinsukia, February 28, 2019:

Based on specific input, a team of Tinsukia Police on Thursday seized a huge amount of Ganja (cannabis) from Kakopathar in Tinsukia district on Wednesday.

The ganja was recovered from a Santro vehicle bearing registration no. AS 06B8121 on the National Highway 52. The team of police led by in-charge Jyotishman Neog, apprehended one constable and a driver of the vehicle in which the ganja was being carried. The constable has been identified as Ramen Neog and the driver is Pratim Saikia.

The police have informed that the driver of the vehicle claimed to be the driver of the Tinsukia Deputy Commissioner.
