GUWAHATI: The Congress this afternoon released yet another list of two candidates -- Raton Engti for Bokajan (ST) constituency and Sum Ronghang for Diphu (ST) constituency -- for the second phase of Assam assembly elections.

Former chief executive member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council is a sitting BJP MLA and a minister in Sarbananda Sonowal’s council of ministers. The BJP denied him ticket this time. The ruling party nominated Bidya Sing Engleng instead of the hill areas development and mines and minerals minister. Ronghang joined the Congress on Sunday.

The party last night released a list of 26 candidates for the second phase of polls to be held on April 1.
