GUWAHATI: The voter turnout in the second phase of Assam Assembly elections was recorded at 27.45% till 12.6 pm according to the data of the Election Commission of India.
While, voter turnout in Rangia was the highest at 35.58 percent until 12 pm., voter turnout in Karimganj South was the lowest at 17 percent.
The voting is underway in 39 constituencies under 13 districts.
A total of 345 candidates are in fray in this phase.
It may be mention that, voting at polling station number 146 at Nirtamoyee Balika Vidyalaya was temporarily halted, due to an EVM malfunction.

Meanwhile, voting was delayed at polling station number 26 at Nowgong Law College in Nagaon after the same issue occurred.
While in the Kamalpur constituency under the Kamrup district, voting was delayed by at least 3 hours after some technical glitches were seen in EVM.
