Assam: Pramod Boro plays parivartan card to woo voters ahead of BTC election

The UPPL president Pramod Boro said the change is the need of the hour in Bodoland Territorial Autonomous Council (BTAD) region, Assam. “People of the BTAD now want parivartan (change) and hence they have come out to extend support to UPPL,” he added.

While visiting at Singimari near Fakiragram in Kokrajhar district on July 17th, 2020, Boro met party worker and well-wishers in the area. He has alleged that BPF ruled Bodoland Territorial Council(BTC) administration has failed to work for the welfare and uplift of the common masses in their 17-year reign. He said that peoples from all sections of the citizens are depriving their frontal development and welfare aspects due to insincerity initiatives taken from the BPF party ruled administration.

He has accused of BPF ruled BTAD administration has indulged in multi-crore anomalies in several departments of BTC administration. He has demanded a thorough investigation must conduct into alleged anomalies and corruption in the region that has reportedly arises in the council.

He alleged that over 515 crores of corruption was perpetrated in the job card anomalies under MGNREGA in the BTC region. He said that peoples from the region must get healthy development as well welfare environment for paving the way healthy development and integration.

He has opined that BTC election must conduct whenever COVID-19 outbreak situation comes into normalise in the state. He has urged all citizens to maintain social distancing to combat the Coronavirus outbreak across the state. 

He has claimed that today irrespective of community and large number of supporters are stepping to extend support to the UPPL party as his party was working for the welfare of all sections of the society.

On Assam flood situation, Boro has demanded release of sufficient packages to counter the Assam's flood situations in today's juncture. He informed that state's flood situation has been creating miserable situation amongst the citizens of the state as several lakh peoples are taking shelter at different relief camps in the state.

He has urged the state and centre government to extend support and sufficient funds to construct mataory and protection schemes to tackle the flood situations in the state.

Boro while highlighting the people's expectation and well gestures in bringing Parivartan, said that UPPL party is winning majority seats in the BTC election and council would be formed by UPPL. He said that his party will devote more dedication to meet good governance and healthy welfare for all citizens if his party voted to power.

Meanwhile, common masses under Fakiragram constituency have been extending supports to the UPPL party candidate Motiar Rahman. They said that they want Parivartan and development, so this time they will extending supports to the UPPL party.
