DHUBRI: The process of administering Covid-19 vaccine to school students starts in Dhubri district along with the entire state from today.

The immunization drive will continue till 9th of January for all the students between the ages of 15 and 18. Those who are not studying in educational institutions will be vaccinated after 9th of January.

According to Anbamuthan MP, Deputy Commissioner, a total of 73,680 students of 377 government and private educational institutions in Dhubri district will be given vaccines by Health Department teams in their respective schools.

Students will be jabbed with Covaxin vaccine so that they can take the second batch of vaccine before matriculation or higher secondary final examination, he added and the vaccination drive was officially launched at the Government High School for Dhubri and at IN Academy for Bilasipara sub-division.

"The Dhubri District Administration and Health Department is fully prepared for this," said Anbamuthan MP, Deputy Commissioner.
