The Assam Chief Minister on Tuesday declared that the production capacity of the Bongaigaon Refinery and Numaligarh Refinery have been increased.
The Bongaigaon Refinery capacity has been increased from 2.5 MT to 5 MT. The capacity has been increased at a cost of Rs. 10,000 crore.

He further informed that the production capacity of the Numaligarh Refinery has been increased from 3 MT to 9MT at a cost of Rs.23,000 crore.
Announcing this, Sarbananda Sonowal tweeted, “Assam is on the path of industrial development. The production capacity of Bongaigaon Refinery was increased from 2.5 MT to 5 MT at a cost of ₹10,000 crore. Simultaneously, production capacity of Numaligarh Refinery increased from 3 MT to 9 MT at a cost of ₹ 23,000 crore.”
