ASSAM- PROTEST AGAINST PRICE RISE

The sky rocketing prices of diesel and petrol has been making news since the inception of the BJP government. To voice against this, the legislators of the Assam Pradesh Congress set out on a protest this morning. The legislators lodging protest against the failure of the Modi-led BJP government marched to the premises of the Janata Bhawan before the onset of the proceedings of the on going Assembly. Legislators like Rockybul Hussain, Nurul Huda, Abdul Khalek, Nandita Das were seen voicing their protest.

“The promises of the BJP government is nothing but an ‘electoral Jhumla’ and they have been failed miserably to meet the expectation of the people, said the leader of the opposition, Debabrata Saikia, told the media”. Another legislator and former Forest Minister, Rockybul Hussain said that the commitments of the government are nothing but hoodwink, deceiving the mass. The plight of the mass has taken a toll by the ever rising prices of petrol and diesel.
