21 July 2018:

The All Assam Tai Ahom Students’ Union (AATASU), along with six other tribal organizations, staged a protest in Tinsukia on Saturday demanding Scheduled Tribe (ST) status to six communities.

The protesters burnt the effigies of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not fulfilling the demand.
