Assam reports 49 fresh COVID-19 cases, 1 death

GUWAHATI: The number of people infected with Covid-19 in Assam has risen to 2,18,412 with 49 more people testing positive for the virus in the past 24 hours.

One person had died due to the infection.

Out of total 49 cases, the Kamrup Metro alone registered 26 cases.

The positivity rate stands at 0.38 %.

The new cases were detected out of 12,966 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.

Currently, active cases in the state is 515.

Meanwhile, 32 patients have been discharged and the recoveries have touched 2,15,445 with 0.51%.

The COVID death rate, on the other hand, has risen to 0.51 percent, with 1,105 deaths.
