ASSAM: SERVICE OF ASSISTANT PROFFESOR OF BODO LANGUAGE TO BE REGULARISED: BISWAJIT DIAMARY

In a meeting with CM Sarbananda Sonowal, Education Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya, Rajya Sabha MP Biswajit Diamary, a discussion was held on the issue of regularisation of service of Assistant Professors as urged by Diamary.

In a letter written to CM, Diamary mentioned that the authority of education department including Education minister did not allow to regularise that Teacher/ Asst. professors against the sanctioned posts saying that the present rule and regulations of the Govt. of Assam in Appointed teachers/Assistant Professors is not allowed to regularise the appointed teachers of the department in Non-Sanctioned posts against the newly Sanctioned posts . And also the UGC guideline also need to follow in any Sanctioned posts. However UGC later confirmed that their process is in the process of appointment of teachers/asst. teachers maintaing qualification and selection process then they have no problem in appointment and regularisation of the services of already appointed teachers/ asst. professors.

The meeting was held in this regard and it was finally accepted and decided to regularise the services of Asst. Professors through taking decision in the Cabinet
