Assam: Show Cause Notice Served to Govt Doctor for Negligence of Duty

Hailakandi, July 30, 2019:

A Show cause notice has been issued to Dr.Joynal Abedin for performing private practice neglecting his government duty.

Dr. Abedin was caught at around 12.30 pm for performing private practice during OPD hours at the Central Medical Store.

Joint Director, Health Services, Dr. Abed Rasul Mazumder has issued a show cause to Dr.Abedin asking as to why disciplinary action should not be initiated against him for performing private practice during OPD hours.

Moreover, his salary has been put on hold by the health authorities.

Earlier, repeated warnings were issued against such malpractices but the government doctor did not pay heed to them forcing the authorities to act tough against him.
