BAKSA: Tamulpur MLA Leho Ram Boro tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday.
According to sources, Boro was experiencing some health issues including weakness and hence decided to take up the test.
On Thursday the MLA underwent a RAT COVID test at Tamulpur primary health centre which came out positive.
His sample for RT-PCR test has also been taken for further confirmation.
His condition is currently normal and oxygen level is 92. However, as Boro is a diabetes patient, he has been admitted at GMCH as a precautionary measure on the recommendation of doctors.
MLA Leho Ram Boro of United People’s Party, Liberal won the seat by defeating Rangja Khungur Basumatary from Bodoland Peoples Front with a margin of 32183 votes in the recently held Assemby elections.
