Assam: Tinsukia grenade blast kills a 12 year old

TINSUKIA:  A grenade blast in Assam's Tinsukia district has killed a 12-year-old this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Suraj Hajong.

The explosion took place in Kotha Sema village under Jagun police station (PS) in Tinsukia district.

However, officials have yet to confirm the child's death.

Locals said that they have no idea how the grenade was detonated or who put it on the side of the road.

An investigation on the matter is underway.
