ASSAM: TRAIN SERVICE TERMINATED

Running of trains has been affected in the Lumding and Badarpur hill section of Assam following landslides triggered by incessant rains for past few days.

Speaking to INSIDENE, NFR PRO,Niprendra Bhattacharya said that the train service of Lumding to Badarpur , which has been suspended for landslides is now restored after five days and the train from Badarpur is running upto Agartala.

But the branchline between Silchar- Bardarpur section of Lumding Division has been affected due to flood and the service is being terminated today.

Moreover trains from Silchar local places like Manipur, Mizoram, Agartala has also been suspended. The train from Silchar to Maishashan, Silchar to Agartala-Dharmanagar, Silchar to Thiruvananthapuram is terminated today.
