The Indo-Bangla border in Assam will soon be secured with smart fencing to prevent illegal infiltration from Bangladesh.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh speaking on the issue said that the setting up of the fencing will begin next week at the highly sensitive Dhubri sector of Assam.
The Border Security Force (BSF) initiated the ‘smart fencing’ system under Comprehensive Integrated Border Management System (CIBMS) to prevent illegal infiltration from Pakistan and now the same system will be set in Assam as well.
As per reports, after the fencing is tested successfully, the BSF will set the fencing and completely seal the Indo-Bangla border in Assam.
The step has been taken to make the borders of India more secure.
