ASSAM: WOMAN HELD IN COUNTERFEIT MONEY CASE

Acting on a specific information received from reliable source today on 20th May at 1:00 PM at Kakopather Daily Market the Police staff apprehended one woman namely Smt Ranjumoni Barua for counterfeiting money. It is reported that the accused is the daughter of Lt Atul Ch Barua of Tiniali Nagaon,under Bordumsa police station of Tinsukia district . From the possession of the accused FICN denomination INR 200 of face value 25000 had been seized. In this regard Kakopather PS C/No 20/18 u/s 489(B)/489(C) IPC has been registered and investigation is on. Efforts are on to unearth the  entire racket.
