GUWAHATI: Renowned Assamese musician Rupam Bhuyan has met with an accident near Chandubi lake in Kamrup district of Assam. He has been shifted to the Hayat hospital in Guwahati for his treatment.
According to sources, the musician has suffered multiple injuries to his head. The source further informed that a CT scan is being performed on Bhuyan to assess the severity of his injuries. The source further informed that Bhuyan is now in a "serious" condition.

Rupam Bhuyan is an Indian playback singer from Assam. He is the frontman of the Indian fusion band North East Breeze. He sang in numerous Assamese films including Khobh, Anuradha, Mumtaz and Akash Chuboloi Mon, Majrati Keteki, Rough and Tough, Krodh, Kokaideu Bindass.
Notably, Bhuyan composed the theme song for the Jeevan Kite and River Festival-2015 as a tribute to the river Brahmaputra.
