Assamese theatre artist Shankar Chakraborty took his last breath

Theatre artist Shankar Chakraborty at age 48 took his last breath this noon at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

Chakraborty was detected Covid positive with some kidney related illness. He was undergoing treatment at the ICU of GMCH and took his last breath today.

Leaving behind his wife and a daughter.

He was a renowned theatre artist of Bhramyaman, Kohinoor, Bordoicila etc. He also acted in many theatres such as Moromor Bandhobi Bidai Diya, Radha Ebar Hahi Diya, Asthapath, Pratighat etc.
