A youth from Assam along with 21 other fishermen were arrested by the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) for allegedly straying into the country's territorial waters.
The youth has been identified as Simanta Saikia of Merapani, Golaghat. He was working as a fisherman in Gujarat.
The youth along with the other men were arrested by the PMSA during an operation on Thursday. They also confiscated three boats as well.
They arrested persons were handed over to the Dock Police and were sent to Judicial Custody on Friday.
All of the arrested ones have been sent to the Landhi Jail.
It may be mentioned that since October, this is the third incident of arrest of Indian men by the PMSA. Most of these arrested were fishermen.
