Assam's Gauranga Lal Das appointed as Indian Ambassador in Taiwan

Gauranga Lal Das from Barpeta has been appointed as the Indian Ambassador in Taiwan. He topped in the HSLC examination in the year 1991. He will move to Taiwan on 13th of July, Monday.

Gauranga Lal Das is an Assamese. He was the counsellor (political) in Indian embassy, USA. He studied in Assamese medium school from Barpeta and stood first in HSLC exam in 1991. Probably the first Assamese to sit with PM Modi and discuss bilateral issues with Donald Trump in White House.
