‘Attempt to prevent investigation into Rafale scam’ by Alok Verma : Congress

Guwahati, October 26, 2018:

The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) on Friday carried out a protest rally from Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to the Deputy Commissioners, Kamrup (Metro) Office demanding the reinstatement of Alok Verma, director of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The APCC will to submit a memorandum to the President of India through the deputy commissioner. The congress party has demanded the President of India to ensure the reason for sending Verma on an indefinite leave by the Modi-government and mentioned that it is an attempt to prevent an investigation into the alleged Rafale scam.

The Congress party has also demanded an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allegedly destroying the image of the CBI officer.

It is to be mentioned that this protest is being carried out nationwide where in Delhi; the Indian National Congress (INC) party started their protest march outside the CBI demanding the same.
