Chatra Mukti Sangram Samiti carries out Awareness campaign against CAB

The Chatra Mukti Sangram Samiti (CMSS), Simaluguri Regional Committee has staged protest against the proposed Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 and carried out a public awareness campaign regarding the Bill in Najira.

The protest has been supported by CMSS Sivasagar District Committee President Parasar Konwar, General Secretary Raju Chetia Phukan, Assistant General Secretary Asif Islam, Simaluguri Regional Committee President Bikash Phukan, Brihattar Axomiya Yuva Manch Chief Secretary Pranabjyoti Handique, AJYCP Sivasagar District Committee member Ananta Kalita among other members.

A team of 25 members have initiated the campaign to distribute 10,000 leaflets to raise awareness about the controversial Bill in every nook and cranny of the region. The CMSS has also announced plans to hold opposition programmes throughout the state against the Bill after the completion of the awareness campaign.
