Awesome Assam? CM Sonowal’s mic goes silent mid-speech due to Power cut

Guwahati, March 6, 2019:

We all face the problem of power cut in Assam, but the Government has not been able to provide a solution to this age-old problem in Assam.

This time, though, the problem of power cut has been faced by the Chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal, himself.

While Sarbananda Sonowal was laying the foundation stone of a new flyover to be built in Ganeshguri connecting RG Baruah road and Bishnu Rabha flyover and addressing a gathering there, there was a power cut and the CM could not use the microphone to continue his speech.

Sonowal tried to deliver the speech at the peak of his voice to address the people but it did not work. A helpful person brought a traffic police loudspeaker for the CM so that he could complete his speech without shouting, but Sonowal refused to use it, instead preferring to complete his speech without a microphone.

On one hand, the BJP government is claiming implementation of ‘Sauvagyya Yojana’ that claims to provide electricity to each and every household in the country around the clock, but on the other hand, the CM of the state himself has set an example to what extent are these schemes being applied so far.
