Bangladeshi envoy calls on Assam Chief Secretary

Guwahati (Assam), September 6, 2018:

Assistant High Commissioner and Head of Mission, Bangladesh High Commission, Guwahati, Dr. Shah Mohammad Tanvir Monsur called on Assam Chief Secretary, Alok Kumar at Janata Bhawan on Thursday.

Both discussed issues like improving air connectivity between the two countries, improvement of bus service from Dhaka to Guwahati via Shillong and also water connectivity to ensure affordable routes for the common man.

Besides this, they also discussed to work out a plan on tour operators of both the countries to improve the tourism circuit. More cultural exchange programmes will be given priority to improve the relation between the two nations through people-to-people contact.
