Bighas of Ganja cultivation destroyed in Bongaigaon

Guwahati, November 30, 2018:

A team of the Bongaigaon police carried out an eviction drive against illegal cultivation of marijuana (ganja) in various parts of the district.

The people of Nararvita, Moinapara and Topgaon have been illegally cultivating ganja from a long time.

As on Friday, the police destroyed several bighas this cultivation in presence of the District Magistrate Shah Nawaj Iqbal and Prahlad Das, officer in-charge of Merechar Police Station.
