MUMBAI: After setting the cricket turf on fire with his steps of Bihu dance in UAE last year, Rajasthan Royals's (RR) Assam lad Riyan Parag did it again. The teenage sensation set the stage on fire as the squad celebrated Bihu, Vaishaki, Poila Baishak and other regional festivals today at the IPL bio bubble here.

In a video shared by RR on its social media handle that has gone viral, Riyan is seen dancing Bihu to the tune of the pipe and drum at the festival celebrations. He also broke into his trademark Bihu steps taking the scalp of Chrish Gayle earlier last night.

Riyan's steps caught the attention of cricket buffs when he danced a few steps during the IPL 2020 when he along with Rahul Tewatia led RR to an incredible win over Sunrisers Hyderabad. Gamocha (a scarf) is another Assamese traditional item that Riyan promotes on the international stage. He uses a kerchief made of gamocha tucked to his waist when he steps into the greens.

Last night, Riyan, who adopted a new bowling style to surprise the spectators, danced a few steps after eliminating Punjab Kings (PBKS) batsman Gayle.

His bihu dance steps attract the netizen and the videos often go viral.

Gayle was summoned and after a brief glance in, he stepped on the gas. He scored 40 runs off 28 hits, including four fours and two sixes. During his innings, he also hit the most sixes in the Indian Premier League's history, with 350.

Gayle attempted to hoick the ball over the long-on fielder off the fifth ball of the 10th over, but only managed to slice the ball to Ben Stokes, who rushed in to make a diving catch. As a result of eliminating one of the most dangerous batsmen in the T20 format, Riyan Parag broke into a small Bihu dance on ground.
