Guwahati, May 24, 2019:

As the winds have blown in favour of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) yet again in the Lok Sabha election 2019, Gauhati Constituency's victorious candidate Queen Oja has expressed happiness after her victory and said that she was always confident of winning the elections.

Lauding the effort of the BJP supporters, Queen took potshots at the Congress party over its defeat saying that the party has been wiped out as BJP has won the maximum number of seats.

Speaking to Inside Northeast, Queen Oja said that the people have trusted her and all the leaders of the party, and her supporters have worked hard to help her win.

Oja added that Modi has proven himself to be a capable leader and worked for the benefit of the people of Northeast. All the leaders of the party like Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Himanta Biswa Sarma and others have worked hard for the party, she said.

She further added that the victory was possible only because of the unity in the party.

Replying to what would be accomplished in the coming year, she said, “I will give priority to all the constituencies and their problems, whatever comes to my notice. Provision of water is the basic problem which I will be looking at.”

As a woman candidate, Queen mentioned that she will be working for the security of the women and other schemes for their development.

Later, she expressed her satisfaction at the party’s performance as it secured 9 seats in Assam. She further added, “My family has given more than 100% to win the election. I was confident of winning the election because when Congress candidate Bobbeeta Sharma campaigned with 100 supporters, I had 2000 standing beside me.”
