BPF-BJP alliance intact at Delhi and Dispur, but not in BTC, says Hagrama Mohilary

Kokrajhar: Hagrama Mohilary, the President of the Bodoland People's Front (BPF), today confirmed that his party's alliance with the BJP is still intact in New Delhi and Dispur as alliance governments are going "smooth". However, the picture in the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) is a little different as both parties are contesting separately with their own candidates.

Mohilary, who was also the former BTC chief while addressing an election campaign at Anthihara Saragaon under Dotma constituency in Kokrajhar today expressed confidence that the BPF will be forming the BTR administration for a consecutive fourth term by winning a majority of the seats.

He has affirmed that the BPF party has been maintaining alliance with BJP in Delhi and Dispur, but contesting separately in BTR elections.

"Only BPF would be able to form BTR administration by winning majority seats. BPF is winning absolute majority with cent percent clear cut,no doubt," Mohilary said, expressing confidence.

He said that citizens those living in BTR area since 2003 year shall be given land 'pattas' in the coming days, besides getting equal opportunity and rights.

The former BTC Chief said that the BPF party was working for the all round development and welfare in the areas, adding that the BPF party wants a review on the BTR Accord to maintain equal opportunity and distribution among the citizens. Mohilary also addressed an election campaign at Chirang Duar constituency for party candidate Kampa Borgoyary on Saturday.
