United Peoples’ Party Liberal (UPPL) president Pramod Bodo has accused the Bodoland Peoples’ Front (BPF) leaders of being involved in a Rupees 650 crore job card scam. He demanded that there should be an inquiry into every scam in the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) and those guilty should be punished.

Bodo said that in the last few years there have been widespread corruption in the BTC. He further said that the BPF leaders are also involved in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana scam. The former students’ leader also demanded an inquiry into the scam. Bodo said that nobody should go scot free after being involved in a scam and they must be booked for it. Refusing to comment on the newly formed Asom Jatiya Parishad (AJP) Bodo said that he wants all the communities live together peacefully with camaraderie.

Bodo repented that the socio-economic life and development has been badly hampered in the region in the last 30-40 years due to violence and bloodshed. He said that a peaceful environment should prevail for the overall development of a region. Bodo appealed all communities to be united for an overall development.

Bodo appealed to the masses to vote for UPPL for an corruption free Bodoland Territorial Region and overall development of the region.
