The 70th Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting was also held yesterday and proceedings began from 5 pm onwards.
Hagrama Mohilary, President of the BPF, hoisted the party flag at approximately 8:30 am in the morning today. Party spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Biswajit Daimary inaugurated the delegate sitting at 12 noon.
Rain did not play as spoilsport as the BPF party members also laid wreaths at the tomb of martyrs. “We thank the BTC people because we have been able to accomplish much due to their blessings. I hope people of Assam and BTC continue supporting us”, said Hagrama Mohilary, while addressing the media.
It is to be mentioned that the BPF, which is one of the strongest regional parties of Assam, has been in power since the first council elections were held in the state in 2015.
