Guwahati, March 4, 2019:

Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Chief Hagrama Mohilary said that the Bodo People’s Front (BPF) will win the Lok Sabha election 2019 in alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at a Civilian’s Meet organised by Tamulpur Higher Secondary School.

Addressing the gathering, Hagrama Mohilary said, “BPF will win the Lok Sabha elections 2019 in alliance with BJP. BPF has always worked for the development of BTC. The signing of Bodo Accord was possible with the help of many political and non- political organizations like the AMSU, Adivasi Unions, etc. All tribal and non- tribal people will have equal rights as per the Bodo Accord. It doesn’t matter whether BTC is with Assam Government or not, because all the developmental works are done by BTC.”

Mohilary also had strong words for ABSU President Pramod Bodo and the ongoing protests for a separate Bodoland. “All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) President Promod Boro despite knowing that there won’t be any separate Bodoland has been protesting against the BPF,” he said.

The BTC chief has also announced the construction of a cultural complex as a memorial in the name of Assam’s Martyr Moneswar Basumatary at Kokrajhar during the meet.
