Breaking | BJP candidate Kripanath Mallah victorious in Karimganj

Guwahati, May 23, 2019:

Kripanath Mallah of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has claimed victory in the Karimganj Lok Sabha Constituency.

He has defeated his nearest rival, the All India United Democratic Alliance (AIUDF), Radheshyam Biswas by a slim margin of 16,000-plus votes.

This has surprise to many as the AIUDF candidate was heavily favored to win the election. Despite leading during much of the counting process, the AIUDF candidate has finally fallen behind and the BJP candidate has finally emerged victorious in this neck-and-neck contest.
