Guwahati, 22 January 2019:
The counting for North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) elections 2019 is in process and if the present trends are to be followed, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are in pole position at the moment.
The BJP has presently won 8 out of 10 seats for which the results have already been declared.
Here is the list of the declared 10 seats:
* Diyungbra constituency - Nobojit Hojai (BJP)
* Lower Khartong constituency - Namrothang Hmar (BJP)
* Hamri constituency - Monjit Naiding (BJP)
* Hadingma constituency - Debojit Bathari (BJP)
* Dihamlai constituency - Rmagalunbe Jeme (Independent candidate)
* Dolong constituency - Suauthangjen Hrangkhol ((Independent candidate)
* Semkhor constituency - Ranu Langthasa (BJP)
* Digher constituency - Hem Samuel Changsang (BJP)
* Hajadisa constituency - Projith Hojai (BJP)
* Gunjung constituency - Nojit Hojai (BJP)
The polling for 28 constituencies in the NCHAC was held on January 19 and the luck of 129 candidates of the council is at stake.
