GUWAHATI: The British government has donated three oxygen generators to India to address its medical oxygen crisis amid the surge in COVID-19 cases.
One of these generators to be installed in the Chirang district of Assam whereas the other two will be installed in Rajasthan.
Each generator produces 500 liters of oxygen per minute.

"I am very thankful to the Health and Family Welfare Department of India for allocating this oxygen generator to J.S.B. Hospital in here, at a time when patients are dying due to lack of oxygen in several hospitals," said Joyanta Basumatary MLA from Sidli constituency.
Basumatarty further added, "I hope that we can also supply oxygen to other hospitals in the time of requirement from this generator. I would like to request the Assam government for the same."
An official of the National Disaster Response Force had informed while talking to the press that a team of NDRF helped in translocating the generator from Guwahati to Chirang.
