DHARMAPUR: Villagers from Assam cabinet minister Chandra Mohan Patowary's constituency have alleged irregularity in the supply of electricity despite the Bharatiya Janata Party's 24 hours electricity promise and also alleged that the MLA Patowary of reluctant to address the same.
The Mularkuchi village in Dharamapur has been complaining about electricity supply in the area to their MLA Patowary as well as to the Power Department since the last four years, but no action has been taken so far.
"Electricity supply is very irregular here. Even though we pay our bills regularly, supply is not even enough to charge our phones sufficiently so that our students could complete their online classes," complained local Altab Hussain.

There are at least 350 households in the Mularkuchi village and only one transformer which falls short in supplying electricity.
"We are tired of complaining about it to the power department and our MLA. As of the latest, we know that our file is stuck and we have not gotten any transformer in the last four years. They have been just giving us assurance and it always stays like that," added Hussain.
