Guwahati, February 16, 2019:

The special aircraft of the Indian Air Force carrying the mortal remains of Assam’s brave heart Maneswar Basumatary had reached the Borjhar Air Force station at 6:25 pm.

In the Air Force Station, the last tribute was paid by Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, State Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Transport Minister Chandra Mohan Patiwary, Assam Pradesh Congress president Ripun Bora and other politicians, DGP Kuladhar Saikia, Commissioner of Police Deepak Kumar along with the Air Force Officials and CRPF officials.

In the end, CM Sonowal and Himanta Biswa Sarma offered their shoulder to carry the mortal remains of the martyr to the helicopter for the very last moment before leaving to Tamulpur where thousands of villagers are waiting for the brave heart to pay tribute for the last time.
