Guwahati, February 22, 2019:

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will lay the foundation stone of Rupsi Airport in Kokrajhar district on Friday.

Guwahati will be connected to three more cities under the Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik (UDAN) 3.0 scheme.

It was announced by Union Minister for Civil Aviation and Commerce, Suresh Prabhu on Thursday.

The Civil Aviation Ministry has awarded water aerodromes in Guwahati River Front and Umrangso Reservoir in Assam under UDAN 3.0 that will be connected by seaplanes.
