CM's Secretariat opens in Tura

The Chief Minister’s Secretariat was formally opened at Dakopgre in Tura with an objective of catering the needs of the peopke of the Garo Hills.

Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma will be available at the secretariat during his visit to Tura and the secretariat will function on all weekdays. An officer has also been posted there to receive proposals, request for appointment with CM and other related matters. These will be apprised to the Chief Minister.

Conrad K Sangma stated that a lot of people from Garo Hills come to Shillong to submit applications and proposals but it becomes very time consuming and puts a lot of financial burden on them.

He added, “Through this office, people from Garo Hills can apprise or send their letter of request to me or submit proposals directly.”
