GUWAHATI: Assam finance minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) poster boy Himanta Biswa Sarma has called Congress the “Fake News Factory” for using a mock drill video from Jharkhand calling it shooting by Assam Police.
The mock drill video from Jharkhand shared as Assam Police firing at anti-Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019 (CAA) protestors had shared by Assam Congress on microblogging site Twitter.
Sharing the video on Twitter, Assam Pradesh Congress wrote asking people to take a look at the video and before casting vote to any party.
It has said Congress has expelled more Bangladeshi’s from the country in comparison to the saffron party.

It has further asked people to remind everyone about PNRD, SI, and Foreigners Tribunal examination scams, due to which many youths had to stay unemployed.
It has also described the issues faced by the public during “Demonetisation”.
Problems of declaring Assam flood as a national problem, five martyrs of Anti-CAA movement, increment wages of tea garden workers, and many such issues has been raised in the video.
Assam assembly polls for total 126 seats are scheduled to be held from March 27 to April 6 in three phases.
