As many as five out of twelve candidates of the Congress party have made their entry in the “Crorepati” club as reported by election watchdogs Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR).
Among the crorepatis, former bureaucrat M.G.V.K. Bhanu comes out as the richest in the list with Rs 8 crores while Gaurav Gogoi turns out to be the poorest with 'only' Rs 1 crore in assets.
In the crorepati club, M.G.V.K. Bhanu, candidate from Tezpur constituency ranks at the top spot as Bhanu has total assets of Rs 8,28,46,198.
The second position in the list of crorepatis has been grabbed by Dibrugarh candidate Pawan Singh Ghatowar with a total asset of Rs 5 crore. Pawan Singh Ghatowar holds total assets worth Rs 5,74,88,181 in accurate amount.
The third position in the race of crorepatis has been grabbed by Lakhimpur candidate Anil Borgohain with total assets of Rs 5 crore. Anil Borgohain holds total asset of Rs 5,11,85,000 in accurate amount.
The fourth position in the race of crorepatis has been grabbed by Jorhat candidate Sushanta Borgohain with a total asset of Rs 2 crore. Sushanta Borgohain holds a total asset of Rs 2,15,16,244 in accurate amount.
The fifth position in the race of crorepatis has been grabbed by Kaliabor candidate Gaurav Gogoi with a total asset of Rs 1 crore. Gaurav Gogoi holds total assets of Rs 1,37,27,834 in accurate amount.
