Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to address three rallies in Assam today

GUWAHATI: On the last day of campaigning for the second phase of Assam assembly election, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will address three rallies in the state today.

The former congress president will interact with women at India Club Ground in Silchar. Gandhi will then attend two public meeting in Haflong in Dima Hasao district and Bokajan in Karbi Anglong district.

On the other hand, chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Health and Education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will address four and seven election rallies respectively.

The first phase of election in 47 constituencies was held on March 27 and 79.93 per cent voter turnout was recorded. The second phase of assembly polls for 39 seats will be held on April 1 while the state will go for the third and final phase on April 6. Counting will take place on May 2.
