Congress president Rahul Gandhi announces to scrap Citizenship Bill

Guwahati, April 3, 2019:

Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday announced that the Congress party if voted to power will not let the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 pass which the Bharatiya Janata (BJP) party is using to attack the people of Assam.

Addressing the gathering at Bokakhat in Golaghat district, Rahul Gandhi said, “CAB is an attack on you- on language, thought and identity. As the people of Assam informed me on the detail facts, we assured that the bill will not be passed. BJP murder accused president Amit Shah said that he will pass the bill anyhow. So I assured that in the North East, Congress will not attack the people, it will not let Citizenship Bill pass.”

The Congress star campaigner has nailed the campaign attacking the opponent to its best. He also spoke on various issues and promises made by the BJP leaders in the North Eastern region.
