Congress releases manifesto for Assam Panchayat Polls

Guwahati, November 20, 2018:

The Assam Congress has released its manifesto for the upcoming Panchayat polls through a press conference at Rajiv Bhawan on Tuesday.

The manifesto was released in presence of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Ripun Bora, former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, former senior ministers Bhumidhar Barman, Pradyut Bordoloi, Rockybul Hussain, Basanta Das, Dwijen Das.

Addressing the media, Ripun Bora alleged that in the Jalukbari constituency, Himanta Biswa Sarmah’s supporters have forcefully dismissed the Congress nominated candidates.

However, in Majuli four of our candidates have won uncontested and one in Titabor.

Meanwhile, Tarun Gogoi said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is going to sell out the Jaati-Maati-Bheti of Assam for which the youth are joining the militant outfits. Moreover, the AGP and NJP is performing a drama in the name of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.
