Congress will win Panchayat Election: Tarun Gogoi

Guwahati, November 5, 2018:

Former Chief Minister of Assam, Tarun Gogoi on Monday claimed that the Congress will win a majority of seats in the upcoming panchayat election this time.

Gogoi said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has failed to bring any change in its two years of governance. They have left a sour and bitter feeling in people’s mind.

He further added that the BJP led government is trying to "sell off" the Assamese community by bringing in the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.
