Cotton University students stage a protest

Guwahati, October 7, 2018:

Some students of the Cotton University staged a protest on Sunday after the election committee refused their demand for recounting of votes of the Cotton University Students’ Union elections.

The agitating students demanded the recounting of particularly the votes that were cast to elect the president and the cultural secretary.

The students in question took out a protest in their hostel premises and chanted slogans against the authority.

The results of the election were declared on Saturday night.
