After Assam’s martyr son Moneswar Basumatary made the ultimate sacrifice, his bravery has been hailed in the aftermath of his martyrdom. People from all walks of life have paid their respects to Basumatary who died in the line of duty when a Jaish-e-Mohammed suicide bombing ended the lives of 49 CRPF jawans on this very date (14) last month in February.

To pay tribute to the fallen warrior, the CRPF on Thursday organized a tribute ceremony for Assam’s martyred son Moneswar Basumatary at his residence today in Tamulpur, Baksa district. CRPF head constable Moneswar Basumtary hails from remote Assam village Kolbari.
