Guwahati, February 18, 2019:

The leader of Opposition, Debabrata Saikia on Monday appealed the government to accept applications from local youths for the post of Hindi teacher in the Elementary Education in the state.

The Director of Elementary Education has issued an advertisement calling for applicants for the post of a Hindi Teacher with a degree of BA or BSc. from UGC recognized Universities from all over India having Hindi as one of the subjects.

Speaking to InsideNE, Saikia said, “I appeal to the government to look into the interest of the unemployed youths of the state and include the youths in the interview who have secured the degree of Prabeen and Bishards in Hindi through Assam Rashtriya Bhasha Prasar Committee and other such recognised institutions other than those who hold BA or BSc degree with Hindi as one of the subject.”

It may be mentioned that the local youths who hold the degree of Prabeen and Bisharads in Hindi through the vocational courses will be deprived of applying for the posts as only graduates applicants have been called for the application.

This will add on to the more numbers of unemployment into the state as eligible applicants from other states will also apply for the post.
