DIPHU: The Assam police have arrested two accused related with the Dhansiri murder case that happened in broad daylight on May 15.

They arrested two accused namely -- Francis Engti of Manja and Waisong Terang of Diphu.

The police had also successfully recovered the pistol used in the incident along with ammunition.

A youth was shot dead in broad daylight in Diphu on May 15 by these two miscreants allegedly. The incident took place at Haticamp, Dhansiri road.

The youth named Debojit Sinha was a resident of the Sitalabari area of Diphu.

Debojit was on his way toward Dhansiri from Diphu in a bike with a female mate, when these two had allegedly stopped their vehicle in the middle and shot Debojit, as was explained by Debojit’s female mate who was a witness of the incident.

As police informed later, three bullets have been fired at Debojit and hit his head.

The reason of the murder yet to be known as the investigation is still underway.
