Dhekiajuli man dies after being attacked by a Tiger

Guwahati, December 2, 2018:

On Sunday morning a person who was attacked by a tiger on Friday died at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital.

The deceased person has been identified as Raju Jena of Dhekiajuli. He was attacked by the tiger while he was inside a forest area to get grass for his cattle.

Although he said the animal that attacked him was a tiger, there are chances of it being a leopard as well.

The forest officers are investigating the issue and are trying to locate the tiger which might be a potential threat to other villagers of the area as well. However, it was also stated that Raju went too close to the tiger inside the forest.
