The All Dimasa Students' Union (ADSU) submitted a memorandum to Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on 27 July 2019 at Assam Legislative assembly made some demands on behalf of the Dimasa-Kachari tribe dwelling in Assam.
They presented their grievances in front of the Chief Minister. "We hope our issues like the protection, preservation and beautification of Dimasa Kachari monuments in places like Dimapur, Maibang, Kashpur and Karimganj ruined forts.
They demanded the rehabilitation of DHD cadres, and the withdrawal of the cases against them.
The Dimasa body also demanded statue erection of Dimasa icons (such as Veer Sambhudan Phonglo, Tuliram Senapati, Sengyajik Joya Thaosen etc.) in various parts of the State of Assam in which the Dimasa King had ruled upon, student hostels in proper Karimganj Town for Dimasa boys and girls, etc.
The Chief Minister assured the student body that their demands would be fulfilled very soon.
